Bio
Rich Crowder:
Obsesses over photos, gets the job done, loves life, does his homework, shamelessly enjoys the United Club lounge, takes deep breaths, climbs rock, stays psyched, makes not takes photographs, and is completely in love with dad life.
Studio:
Portland, Oregon + Los Angeles, California
Artistic Approach:
I prefer to shoot in a documentary style. My process is editorial in nature, but attentive to the corporate advertising workflow. With the right touch of pre-production tactics, my honest images of real actions, in real situations, can speak to the viewer in more authentic ways. Storytelling through a relatable moment, highlights my clean, modern, and sophisticated photographic style. This allows me to transcend subject matter. With truthful colors and natural lighting I create timeless imagery for any brand. I enjoy making photographs that explore a brand’s structure and the technology and/or process behind their product. Using unexpected angles, I create accessible and optimistic scenes within bold and vibrant compositions. I specialize in nimble production tactics that allow me to thrive while shooting in precarious environments worldwide. I’m more comfortable shooting on an offshore drilling rig or a thousand foot cliff, halfway around the world than in a plush LA photo studio. I regard myself as a creative partner rather than a hired gun. I would love to chat about bringing your next project to life. Cheers.
